Carl Witt Roberson, age 94, of Belleville, formerly of Effingham, died Saturday, October 27, 2018. He was born December 12, 1923 in Breckenridge County, KY, the son of the late Raymond Arthur and Ethel (Casey) Roberson.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Minnie (Doss) Roberson; step-mother, Rosie (Hart) Roberson; and his siblings: Beulah Preston, Jessie Lee Miller, Ethelene Gregory, Jake Roberson, Potter Roberson and William E. Roberson.
Surviving are his children: Carlene (Don) Fraser-Moser of Belleville, Saundra Hatzenbuehler of Belleville, Mark (Kathy) Roberson of Flora, IL, Carl (Janet) Roberson, Jr. of Shumway, IL and Kevin (Lisa) Roberson of Altamont, IL; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Roberson was a veteran of the US Army. He was employed in Quality Control and was a supervisor for Deering Printing n Louisville, KY, Sparta Printing in Sparta, IL and Cross Roads Press in Effingham, IL.
According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated and a private interment will be held.
