Obituary for Dorothy I. Ratley (Forester)
Dorothy I. Ratley, age 73, of East Carondelet, IL, died Friday, January 25, 2019 at Four Fountains Nursing Home in Belleville.
She was born November 27, 1945 in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Glen and Margaret Forester. She married Michiel Ratley, Sr. He preceded her in death December 23, 2015.
Dorothy is survived by two children: Michelle (Ron) Weller and Michiel L. (Anna) Ratley, Jr., both of East Carondelet; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two siblings: Robert (Becky) Forester of St. Louis, MO and Frances Fernau of Salem, MO.
Mrs. Ratley worked as a housekeeping supervisor.
According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated. A memorial service will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 101 S. 7th St., East Carondelet, IL, 62240.
