Gary P. Kuhn, age 73, of Maryville, passed away peacefully at 1:03 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Cedarhurst of Collinsville.

He was born February 18, 1945 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of the late John H. and Virginia (Bowen) Kuhn. Besides his parents, Gary was preceded in death by three brothers: Randy Kuhn, Ricky Kuhn and Dennis Kuhn.

Gary is survived by his former wife, Dianna (Hurst) Kuhn of Collinsville; two daughters: Kari Mell of St. Jacob and Kendra (Mike) Wallace of O’Fallon; six grandchildren: Morgan Mell, Madison Mell, Macy Mell, Logan Wallace, Emmet Wallace and Aniston Wallace; three sisters: Carol Storm of Caseyville, Gaylynn Minnigerode of Columbia, IL and Debi (Steve) Huddleston of Columbia, Illinois. He is also survived by his good friend, Terry Hime of Troy, IL; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.

Gary was a carpenter with Local 295. He was a fan of NASCAR and avid outdoorsman, especially deer hunting and “The Woods”.

According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice.
