Obituary for Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Tchoukaleff (Spaeth)
Jacqueline L. Tchoukaleff of Godfrey, passed away December 1, 2018 at the age of 84. She was married for 57 years to her beloved husband Michael Tchoukaleff, who preceded her in death. Her parents, Ralph and Helen Spaeth and her brother, Don Spaeth, also preceded her in death. Jackie is survived by her five loving children: Debbie (Ned) Reilly of St. Louis, Kim (Steve) Harrison of Edwardsville, Michael (Debbie) Tchoukaleff of Alton, Cindy (Vince) Dawson of San Antonio, Texas, and Jim (Sarah) Tchoukaleff of Dallas, Texas; and twelve treasured grandchildren: Ted Reilly, Peter Reilly, Julia Reilly, Megan (Aaron) Luth, Kate (Jordan) Yount, Ryan Harrison, Peter (Tayler) Tchoukaleff, Anna Tchoukaleff, Vincent Dawson, Andrew Dawson, Abby Tchoukaleff and Jack Tchoukaleff.
Jackie graduated from William Woods College, served as treasurer of the Alton Junior Service League and volunteered with the White Cross Auxiliary at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was active in her community and enjoyed her dear friends. Jackie was delighted to attend the sporting events, school programs, graduations and weddings of her children and grandchildren. Her family and friends will miss her deeply.
The family is planning a celebration of her life Sunday, December 23rd, 1:30 pm in the chapel at Weston Terrace of United Methodist Village (5201 Asbury, Godfrey, IL), with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of her life may be sent to William M. BeDell Achievement and Resource Center, P.O. Box 349, Wood River, IL, 62095.
