Obituary for Sarah Jane Horne (Wolford)
Sarah Jane Horne, nee Wolford, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Memorial East Hospital in Shiloh, IL.
Sarah was born and raised in Williamson, WV, the daughter of the late Fred and Ella (Saunders) Wolford. She worked for Dairy Queen and the Williamson Animal Hospital for many years, before moving to Illinois in 1990. She loved to garden and can fruits and vegetables, making lots of jelly and jams for family and friends. She shared this with her love and best friend, John “Jack” Feltman.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sarah Jane (Estepp) Saunders; her husband and childhood sweetheart, Ronald Keith Horne; a sister, Una Johnson; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Surviving are two children: Ron (Carrie) Horne of Shiloh and Jeff (Satcy) Horne of Riverside, CA; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Walker (Judy) Wolford of Colorado Springs, CO.
According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
