Sam Sidney, Jr., age 79, of Memphis, TN, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Swansea Nursing and Rehab. He was born January 18, 1939 in Memphis, the son of the late Sam and Sarah (Payne) Sidney, Sr. He married Carrie Jones. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Shirley (Henry) Stokes of Memphis; three grandchildren: Tishia Bracey, Marvin Williams and Terry Price; and seven great-grandchildren: Jeteria, Dierra, Jakel, Ziarra, Kobie, Adien and Terry.

Mr. Sidney was a bus driver for the Transit Authority. He was also a veteran of the US Army.
